The course explores how credit reports are developed, how FICO credit scores are calculated and what data is used in determining a consumer's credit score. Instruction is provided on the proper steps involved in correcting erroneous credit data contained in a consumer credit file. The focus of the course is on useful, hands-on practical applications used by credit grantors to assist the consumer in maximizing their FICO scores through use of Internet based software tools.
